LRTCITY.COM - President Joko Widodo reviewed the development of the Light Fast Train (LRT). THIS LRT will operate in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi (Jabodebek) areas. The project has been completed around 84.7% and will be operated in 2022.

"We hope that later in April 2022 the trial will begin, start the trial and we will start the operation in June 2022," Jokowi said after the review, Wednesday (9/6).

For information, currently Indonesia already has a number of means of mass transportation. In addition to the LRT, there is also the MRT, commuter trains, airport trains, and Transjakarta buses. "So there is efficiency in people traveling from one point to another," explained Jokowi.

The construction of the Jabodebek LRT phase 1 consists of several tracks. The details are, firstly, the 14.8 km Cawang-Cibubur service cross route, which currently has 93.8% of construction.

Second, the 11-kilometer Cawang-Dukuh Atas route, which currently reaches 84.3%. And, thirdly, the 18.4 kilometer Cawang-East Bekasi route, which currently reaches 90.9%.

In addition to the three tracks, the Jabodebek LRT Depot is currently under construction located in East Bekasi. Its construction has reached 44.1%.

The Jabodebek LRT will have 18 stopping stations. Under normal conditions, one LRT series can carry 740 passengers. In solid conditions it can carry 1,308 passengers. The maximum speed can reach 80 kilometers per hour.
